FUNDRAISING REPORT

     Linda Fuehrer, Second Vice President

Updated April 2019

SHOP WITH SCRIP GIFT CARD FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

OUR CLUB MEMBERS SUPPORT OUR ONGOING FUNDRAISER THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

In addition to purchasing gift cards for others, you can purchase gift cards for your own use such as grocery stores, i.e. Shop Rite, Weis, and Acme, as well as restaurants, gas cards and more.  The list of vendors is extensive.

Here are some of the vendors who offer over 8% to our club:  L.L. Bean and Lands’ End 16%, Old Navy and GAP 14%, Talbots 13%, Macys 10%, Cracker Barrel 9%, Applebee’s 8% and many more!  I will take orders at every meeting from now on and can have your cards within 2 days of placing the order.  If you need an order form or the list of participating vendors, please e-mail Linda Feuhrer at clrmrc@aol.com.

SAVE THE DATES

"A TASTE OF VERNON" will be held on April 29, 2019 at Heaven Hill Farm.

Taste of Vernon is sponsored by the Vernon Chamber of Commerce, who in turn donate their proceeds to three charities.  Last year the Vernon Township Woman’s Club was one of the recipients.

"DINE TO DONATE" FUNDRAISER AT THE GEORGE INN will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019

The George Inn specifies a night each year where they donate a percentage of the sales between 6 and closing.  Our club is grateful to The George Inn for their support, and we encourage our families and/or friends to join us.  This has been a very successful event.

FARM TO FORK FONDO-JUNE 9, 2019

(MARIA DORSEY, FIRST VICE PRESIDENT)

Once again, we have been asked to volunteer for the Farm to Fork Fondo (farmtoforkfondo.com) scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 9, 2019 with registration Saturday evening on June 8, 2019, at THE WARWICK VALLEY WINERY. Last year our member volunteers known as "TEAM BLUE" came in First Place in the volunteer competition and earned $1,300.00 for hosting the aid station at Westtown Brew Works.  We supplied the bicycle riders with water, breakfast pizza, protein bars and other goodies. Last year, we also helped to serve the buffet dinner for the bicyclists prior to being honored at the Volunteer Awards Ceremony held at 5:00 at the Winery.  More members are expected to participate this year.  More information will be provided as it is received.  Looking forward to defending our title!
